- Metabolic and cardiovascular risk review
- Ongoing dose and side-effect monitoring
I'm Lucas Tonies, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with nearly twenty years in intensive and cardiovascular care. I see adults by video for weight management, hormone therapy and everyday primary care, and I accept most insurance plans.
Licensed to treat patients located in
California, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Florida, Virginia and Ohio. New York is coming soon.
Each visit is a real clinical evaluation — history, risk review and, when needed, lab work — before any treatment plan.
A plan built around your health history, not a one-size program.
Lab-guided evaluation and treatment for men and women.
The everyday care busy professionals put off.
For the first time in a long time I felt heard by a medical professional. Not rushed.
He actually LISTENS and wants to help SOLVE the problem, not just throw a bandaid over it.
Lucas was very good at my virtual appointment he listened was very patient and helped me with everything I needed and answered all my questions I really appreciate that!!
He listened to the issues and took very good care of me. He even followed up after my visit to see how I was doing.
Pick a time, add your insurance or choose self-pay, and complete a short health intake.
A focused, unhurried visit with Lucas from wherever you are in a state he's licensed in.
Prescriptions go to your pharmacy, labs to a nearby lab, and follow-up is scheduled as needed.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Lucas spent 19 years at the bedside as a critical care nurse. He trained at Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic, specialized in cardiothoracic ICU and transplant care at UW Medical Center, and went on to work at Stanford, Zuckerberg San Francisco General, Cedars-Sinai and Kaiser Permanente, where he chaired the research and evidence-based practice council.
Many of the hospital admissions he saw started with something that could have been caught and managed much earlier. That's why he moved into the provider role: he would rather help you stay out of the hospital than meet you once you're already in one.
That background shapes how he practices now. He knows how weight, hormones, blood pressure and blood sugar connect, which warning signs matter, and when something needs more than a prescription. Patients get the same attention to detail, in a visit built around their schedule.
